The present investigation focused the reproducibility of 14 cephalometric measurements on lateral skull radiographs. Fifteen dental students at the 6th term measured the head films five times within nine days using copies of the same radiograph. Eight experienced orthodontists were also asked to make the same measurements three times with intervals of seven days in between.
Orthodontists measured significantly more reproducible than the students (P=0,015). Critical landmarks were Spina nasalis anterior and posterior, posterior facial height, Incision, Pogonion, Porion, Orbitale, and the inclination of the mandibular incisor.
